Fran LeBeauFran is a lifelong resident of Momence, and is married to Hernan Maldonado. She is retired from AT&T and has a Master's in Business Administration from Governors State University. She has been with the program from the beginning, and is one of the original Board directors and Design Committee members. Main Street has allowed her to meet so many great people, and to learn about preservation, historical significance in buildings, and their design. Nicole Ford
Independent Consultant - Ambit Energy

Nicole Ford Nicole was born and raised in Momence, and has lived in Bloomington and Chicago. She is happy to be back here raising her family.  Nicole is married to Matt Ford and they have two children, Jackson 5 and Josie 3. 

Nicole has a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from Illinois State University, and recently resigned as Director of Recruitment at Kankakee Community College allowing her more time with her family and to get involved with great organizations such as MainStreet. 

She and her husband are independent contractors for Ambit Energy and are focusing their time and attention on building their business. Nicole coaches t-ball, loves taking her daughter to dance, judges a few beauty pageants here and there, and tries to keep up with her 1½ year old Great Dane, Georgia! Her favorite quotes are: "All your dreams can come true - if you have the courage to pursue them" -Walt Disney and "To get something you never had, you have to do something you have never done" -Unknown.

John Rehmer
Retired Teacher - Momence School District

John Rehmer John and his wife Ellen reside in Momence, and have one daughter, Aimee Denny, and three grandchildren. He attended St. Patrick's Academy and Momence High School before receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State, and his Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Governors State University in 1984.

John worked as a Mental Health Specialist at the Manteno Mental Health Center before beginning his teaching career with the Momence School District in 1980. He retired from teaching in 2013. At present, John keeps busy as the Religious Education Coordinator for St. Patrick's Church, and is the scorekeeper, statistician, and reporter for the Momence High School sports teams. He is also active with the Illinois Education Association and was appointed to the Momence City Council as 3rd Ward Alderman in August, 2016. John's favorite Main Street events are: The Christmas Gathering, Dixie Daze, and Cruise Nights. His favorite quote relates to being a good teacher: "Kids will not care what you know until they know that you care."

Ted Petersen
Community Relations/Special Projects - Van Drunen Farms

Ted PetersenTed Petersen was born in Kankakee, Illinois and grew up in Momence. He attended Eastern Illinois University from 1973 to 1977 where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was also a member of the football team where he served as co-captain and earned Associated Press 1st Team All-American Honors. A 4th round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1977, he played offensive tackle for the Steelers for 8 seasons including Super Bowls XIII and XIV. He also played for the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts. He has served as the Director of Athletics/Physical Education at Kankakee Community College, and is now at Van Drunen Farms.

Ted resides in Momence with his wife, Marian and son, Samuel.

Marilou Martin
Program Manager, US Environmental Protection Agency - retired
Marilou Martin Marilou has called Momence her home since she moved here in the mid 70's. She graduated from University of Illinois and received a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from Governors State University. She worked for the Forest Preserve District of Will County and then joined the US EPA as a Program Manager for Special Projects. Projects included innovation with states and industry, community-based environmental and public health projects, and urban redevelopment initiatives. She recently retired and looks forward to being more involved in Momence.

Nancy Liberty Porter
Packaging Buyer - Van Drunen Farms

Nancy Porter Nancy Porter is a lifelong resident of the Momence and Grant Park area. She is married to Ron Detmar and she has one son, Tyler. Nancy has been employed at Van Drunen Farms since 1993. In her spare time Nancy manages the Graham Historic House and Museum, is a board member of the Mt. Airy Red Schoolhouse and is involved in other downtown historic projects. Her interests include historic preservation and the history of Momence. Nancy cannot pick just one favorite MSM event because she enjoys them all. Mary Shanahan
Mary Shanahan Mary was born in Chicago, raised in Midlothian, IL and moved to Momence with husband, Ed, 20 years ago. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Mary retired from the Village of Orland Park as Administrative Assistant to the Village Manager in 2009. She saw a small village of 20,000 grow to over 60,000 due to great management and a vision by the Village Board. She also became involved with Main Street Momence in 2009. During her time with Main Street, Mary was a volunteer on the Economic Development Committee, heavily involved with creating the implementation guidelines for the Revolving Loan Fund, worked part time for 2 years, volunteered for many projects, and is now on the Board of Directors. Main Street has allowed her to meet many wonderful people, and gave her a bird's eye view of the tremendous possibilities available to Momence. Mary's parents always told her anything is possible...she strongly believes that for the City of Momence!

Scott Snavely (Ex-Officio)
Market President - Midland States Bank

Scott Snavely Scott was born and raised in Kankakee County. As a Bank Executive, he previously lived in Bloomington, IL, New Albany, IN and Carbondale, IL. Scott is married to Lori and resides in Bourbonnais, IL. Scott has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Illinois. He is working towards his MBA. Scott enjoys all types of music, writing and auto racing. He has worked as a Technical Inspector for the Indy Car series and has driven race cars around Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. Scott looks forward to serving the Momence community with his active involvement in Main Street Momence. His favorite quote: "Those who are the happiest are those who do the most for others."
